Apostolic church members have been urged to adhere to road safety rules and to avoid travelling at night to avoid accidents during the upcoming Easter and Independence holidays.

Madzibaba Moses Gwasira, chairman of Vapotsori for ED said, “Easter is a holiday that Vapostori use for praying, so as we travel to our conferences, I am discouraging speeding, overloading, and night driving to avoid road accidents,” he said.

“We are blessed this year as Easter Friday and Independence Day fall on the same day.”

He thanked President Mnangagwa for ensuring freedom of worship for all churches.

“Independence Day is important to us as indigenous churches, and I want to express heartfelt gratitude to President Mnangagwa and the Zanu PF Government for ensuring that there is freedom of worship in Zimbabwe.

“I also urge our members to continue praying for our leaders and the nation, as well as to cherish the freedom that was brought by the country’s independence from colonial rule.”
