adminIn an exclusive interview with New Ziana, Sudanese Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Ahmed Karti said there were vast investment opportunities open to Zimbabwe in his country.
“Available in Sudan are opportunities in mining, oil and food processing. In agriculture it is very important to say that sugar is the main area we have prepared for investors to come,” he said.
Minister Karti, who was in the country to deliver a special message to President Mugabe from his leader, said Zimbabweans should consider investing in Sudan’s sugar industry.
“We have big sugar factories and very soon Sudan will be one of the main producers of sugarcane in the world.
“We have vast land and water, and good climate, that is why we are calling investors from Zimbabwe to look for these opportunities,” he added.
Minister Karti said a Zimbabwean business team would soon visit Sudan to explore for investment opportunities.
“I discussed with Zimbabwe’s Foreign Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi the possibility of a delegation going for a visit.
“He assured us that the Zimbabwean delegation will come to Sudan next month,” he said.
