After successful launches in Bulawayo and the UK last year, celebrity make-up artiste Jackie Mgido is taking her Vault cosmetics brand South of the Limpopo.
Mgido is set to debut her brand in South Africa at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Sandton on 19 March.
Mgido, a former Eveline High School girl, has done make-up and pimped up the looks of some of Hollywooda��s finest who include Ne-yo, Denzel Washington, Sylvester Stallone, Wiz Khalifa, Gayle King, John Legend and LL Cool. Vault Cosmetics has gradually grown popular in Zimbabwe in the last few years, due to its dramatic transformations on women who had the pleasure of being a�?vaulteda�?.
The vault brand has grown from strength to strength since it was launched in the capital in 2014, with new branches sprouting around the country. Vault now has branches in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru and London.
In an interview the LA-based Mgido disclosed that her ambition had always been to take the vault brand beyond Zimbabwea��s borders, as women all over the world were in need of makeovers to spruce up their looks.
a�?All women love to look and feel good and with the response that we have received so far it only makes sense to take the Vault brand to other countries,a�? she said.
Mgido said that South Africa was not the end of her ambitions, as she was also targeting Australia as her next port of call in the next few months.
