Venezuela to strengthen people’s power

According to Chavez, half of the money, from the National Development Fund, will be allocated to promote socio-productive projects of organised communities. The rest of the money from oil surpluses will be distributed to provincial governments, mayors and People’s Power offices, through the Inter-territorial Compensation Fund, Chavez said.
Chavez also referred to the sustained economic growth and warned that the aim is to finish the year with a five percent hike in the gross domestic product. The meeting also discussed political topics such as the need to unite all revolutionary forces to maintain and strengthen the national achievements.
President Chavez also called on the people to face political challe-nges with the union of all social factors. – Prensa Latina.
