A cross-section of participants drawn from Government, Parliament, the diplomatic community, academia, the student community and traditional leadership have turned up in large numbers for the official opening of the 19th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe World Tourism Expo in Masvingo.
Government officials and parliamentarians were seen mingling with traditional chiefs, students and tourism stakeholders, adding colour and diversity to the high-profile event.
The participants expressed excitement at being part of the prestigious tourism showcase, which brings together local and international players to promote Zimbabwe’s tourism offerings.
For many students and young participants, the expo provides an opportunity to gain exposure to the tourism industry, while traditional leaders welcomed the platform to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage.
The vibrant gathering underscored the broad national interest in the Sanganai Expo.
