Veteran radio DJ Mambo taken ill

called Dr Bobo by jazz aficionados was admitted at the Avenues Clinic in Harare at the weekend where he is receiving treatment.
According to a close friend who requested anonymity, Dr Bobo has been unwell in the last couple of months.

“Only last weekend he was admitted at the Avenues Clinic. He was having difficulties in breathing. We wish him a speedy recovery and that he bounces back again,” he said.
Dr Bobo’s wife was not available to comment at the time of going to print.

The deep husky voiced Dr Bobo rose to fame with his educative music programmes on radio in which he displays his vast knowledge about jazz music.
Besides deejaying, Dr Bobo is one of the sought-after master of ceremonies.
