Veteran local footballer Thabani Moyo, who at the end of March was reportedly on the verge of signing for 2015 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Chicken Inn, has joined Tsholotsho FC as a free agent.

Moyo signed for Iziqholo Zezhwane on Monday and he comes on board alongside former Highlanders and CAPS United forgotten bustling forward Nqobile Mpala who was playing Botswana in the previous seasons.

a?I can confirm that Thabani Moyo and Nqobile Mpala have joined Tsholotsho FC. We registered Mpala with the PSL, 30 days after we got his international reverse clearance from Botswana. As for Moyo while he is yet to complete his medicals, he returns to premiership football as a Tsholotsho FC player. I believe our coaches saw a lot of good things from the players as they kept on pressing me to facilitate their registration procedures with PSL,a? said Tsholotsho FC chairman Mlamuli Phiri.

Tsholotsho FC are home to a number of seasoned players that include ex-Highlanders captain Felix Chindungwe, former Chicken Inn duo ofA Thomas Chimenya and Thomas Chimenya and Nkosana a?Sanchoa? Siwela who was formerly with struggling Hwange.

The towering Moyo, a former Highlanders and Zimbabwe Under 23 international, previouslyA had some playing stints atA the now defunct Amazulu, Bantu Rovers , How Mine, CAPS UnitedA and in Cyprusa topflight league.

In May last year, Moyo suffered fractured ribs among other injuries when their Bulawayo Chiefs team bus was involved in a horrific accident.

His young brothers are twins, Elvis and Kevin, who are in the books of Premier Soccer League log pacesetters FC Platinum.
