Vic Falls introduces pre-paid parking

Victoria Falls Reporter
MOTORISTS in Victoria Falls are expected to fork out $1 per 30 minutes for parking in the Central Business District (CBD) after the council introduced pre-paid parking zones.Acting Town Clerk Philip Ndlovu said the pre-paid parking zones had been introduced in the CBD as a way of curbing congestion.

He said some motorists were parking their vehicles the whole day in front of business premises affecting free movement of tourists and residents.

“Yes we have introduced pre-paid parking zones in the central business district. All such areas are clearly marked ‘prepaid disc zones’. A 30-minute parking disc will cost a dollar,” he said.

Ndlovu said parking tickets are available at the municipality town offices.

Parking zones have been created along Parkway road, the parking space in front of OK Supermaket among other roads.
