VICTORIA Falls-based musical crew Top Kings has released a single, an offering that delves into the day to day life of sex workers.

Top Kings are identical twins, Nkosenhle and Nkosilathi Ncube who are musicians, songwriters and actors, born in 2000.

In an interview, Nkosenhle stated that their interest was in understanding the lifestyle of sex workers who are part of the marginalised people in the society.

“The song is titled ‘Touchline’ and features DJ Ace Karter. Our motivation in writing this song was the need to explore the lifestyle of sex workers and this prompted us to research.

“In the song, we unpacked their dressing, their location and explored the different challenges that they encounter in carrying out their work,” he said.

Nkosenhle indicated that their goal is to use music as a tool for social change.

“Our goal is to use music as a tool that brings change and demystifies certain myths that are held by society. We are doing this by educating the community and highlighting the different struggles that are faced by the society,” he said.

He indicated that they have a number of singles that they are set to release this year.

“We have a lot in store for 2025, there are a number of collaborations and singles that will be released,” he said.
