Village Secrets actress dies

Actress Simanga Chitsaka has died.

She has been in the industry for over five years.

Her daughter confirmed the sad development.

“Mommy has been in the industry for almost 5 years. She has not been feeling well sometime.. Burial arrangements to be advised,” she said.

While her director in the Village Secrets, Leornard Chibhamu hailed her as a hardworking individual.

“She was a hard-working actress and she was one of our lead actresses. We casted her alongside the famous Lazarus Boora Gringo, starring as Gibbo in Villages as his wife.

“Being cast with such a legend was truly a reflection of how good she was on set.

“She did very well in her role. I thought she had a lot to offer, but fate has left us poorer. She joined Village Secrets at the start and we are now in Season 10, a sign of her acting career.

“Other than acting she was a teacher at a local school (MarondaMashanu Primary),” he said.
