Villagers build clinic

H-Metro Reporter

THE construction of a new clinic in Ward 12 of Chivi District is expected to serve over 15 rural villages.

The community has been contributing to the project by providing materials and labour as the Rural District Council was unable to secure sufficient funds.

Currently, community members have to walk 21km to the nearest healthcare centre, which is Chivi District Hospital.

The new clinic will provide medical attention to the elderly who are unable to walk long distances.

One of the village health workers said once the clinic is fully operational, it would bring cheers to a lot of people.
