Villagers contribute towards building clinic

IN a move aimed at increasing access to healthcare facilities, the Mwanyisa community in Ward 24 of Checheche are making concerted efforts of constructing a clinic in their area by making monetary contributions among themselves.

Ward 24 councillor Wishes Hama said the move is aimed at reducing the distance the rural community has to travel to get to health service centres.

He, however, added that although they have made a headway in their endeavours, progress in completing the local clinic is being stalled by erratic contributions as some are facing financial constraints.
