Latest:Violence perpetrators will be dealt with:President

Addressing thousands of Zimbabweans attending the independence celebrations at the National Sports Stadium in Harare yesterday, President Mugabe expressed concern at the rising wave of violence being reported across the country.

President Mugabe said he was receiving weekly reports of violence from ZRP Commissioner General Augustine Chihuri.

“Iye zvinono tinowana ma reports kubva kuna waChihuri, tinosangana musi wemuvhuro. We are receiving reports of violence. Hanzi hatidi kukuona kana uriwerimwe bato. We are saying to the police, bambalo, fakalo mujeri.”
