Visual artist honours televangelist Prophet William Branham posthumously

Rising visual artist Asa King Zvihari has cast the spotlight on one of the founding fathers of televangelism, Prophet William Branham’s pictures.

Prophet Branham who died in 1965 was an American preacher who initiated the post-World War II healing revival and claimed to be a prophet with the anointing of Elijah.

He is credited for having a lasting influence on televangelism and the modern charismatic Christian movement which many modern affluent clergymen fall under.

Zvihari has strong admiration for the American preacher and painted a replica of a picture in which Prophet Branham has a ‘pillar of fire’ hovering over his head.

Biblically, the pillar of fire only hovered over God’s chosen ones.

“I painted the art piece copying Prophet William Branham’s picture that was taken with a pillar of fire on his head,” explained Zvihari.

“After the picture was captured it was sent to George J. Lacy, who was the head of the FBI’s fingerprint division that time, for further analysis to see if the pillar of fire was a real thing captured by a camera.

“After scrutiny, Lacy and his team endorsed the image to have been captured by the mechanical eye of the camera and provided solid, scientific proof of a supernatural being.”

Zvihari is a fast-rising artist with a promising career whose exploits include having one of his paintings hanging in a Chinese spaceship that travelled to the moon.

He has exhibited in countries that include Japan, Switzerland, China, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

Zvihari said he holds the painting of Prophet Branham in higher regard than his previous exploits.

“This pillar of fire painting holds a special place in my heart, for it represents a moment of divine intervention, a miraculous event that defies explanation,” he said.

“I am eternally grateful for the chance to use my artistic talents to bring glory to God, and to create a piece of art that speaks to the divine presence of the Holy Spirit.”
