A NYIKA-based gospel musical group, Showers of Blessings, comprising three visually impaired members, is itching for a breakthrough.
The crew says the lack of instruments is their biggest let down.
The band’s acting manager, Peter Kamutepfa, said they only have one keyboard and operating in a remote area is limiting their opportunities.
They believe if they had adequate and modern musical instruments, they would flourish.
“If there is anyone who can assist us with any piece of instrument, we will be grateful, we wish to have our own PA system, maybe with a mobile power supply.
“At the moment we are not recording because we are financially down and if we get standard instruments we hope to have a serious project.
“We wish to perform live shows so, to the music promoters, please arrange and invite us and let fans know the taste that we have, it helps us to feel worthwhile.”
Kamutepfa appealed to the media fraternity to assist them with exposure and airplay since their ambition was to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ through music.
“Another challenge is that of airplay, our music is not being played so I am kindly asking the radio houses to consider our music.
“Our main goal is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to impart to the world the skills that we have and to leave a legacy for people with disabilities that the use of talent is fruitful and a decent way to live.”
Showers of Blessings was established in 2016 and the other band members are Clever Gumbo and Serita Mazenge.
