Association vice chairperson responsible for technical affairs Brenda Mundiya yesterday said the games will resume this weekend.
“Our league is definitely continuing but I am still working on the fixtures as we had problems in our first week with teams failing to show up for various reasons.
Hwange Spikes for example had problems with their bus while some teams have not registered yet. As an association we do not want to shut our doors to any clubs that are willing to participate in our league hence I am at the moment waiting for confirmations from clubs as to whether they will make it this weekend then I will draft the fixtures,” she said.
The matches will take place at Raylton Sports Club on Saturday and Sunday.
Mundiya said the games had been on a halt as the province was preparing to play host to the Zimbabwe Open and then the holiday had caused further disruptions although all was set for this weekend for the games to commence.
She urged all the teams that are not registered yet to do so.
