Vote for economic revival, says MP

Residents in Mutare Central have to vote for Zanu-PF in the forthcoming elections to help the ruling party, which is currently on an aggressive path to promote economic revival.

The call was made by Zanu-PF Central Committee member Dr Nancy Saungweme, who was part of a delegation despatched to brief people on the state of affairs in the party.

Residents in Mutare Central’s Ward 4 say they are being sidelined by the MDC-T council.

Speaking at a meeting held at Beit Hall in Sakubva last Friday, Dr Saungweme said the only solution to their problem was to vote for candidates from the revolutionary party, who had people at heart.

“As we are all aware that our candidate for the Presidential seat is President Mnangagwa, he is the one we are all supposed to vote for during the elections,” she said.

Mutare district Zanu-PF Women’s League member Cde Mildred Zisengwe warned fly-by-night politicians who had a tendency of confusing the electorate.

“There are some people who have a tendency of dragging their feet when it is almost time to reach our destination,” she said.

Cde Zisengwe urged women to actively participate in the forthcoming elections.
