Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial youths leadership has encouraged party supporters to vote wisely and choose candidates with a passion for development in this year’s harmonised elections. Addressing youths and party supporters at a meeting in Zaka last week, Masvingo Provincial Youths chairman Cde Brian Munyoro said the new dispensation wanted a shift in mentality to ensure the country develops.
“This is not time to accept bribes. It is high time we call for development. When choosing candidates in the next election, let us do it wisely.
“Let us not be lured by small things as if we are children. That is politics of the past. Let us desist from what opposition parties are doing out there”, he said.
Cde Munyoro said Zanu-PF wanted development-oriented persons in constituencies.
“Let us avoid voting candidates who only appear during elections period and disappear after polls for good. We want our schools and the communities we are living to be developed”, he said.
Cde Munyoro warned Zanu-PF members to concentrate on things that develop the economy.
He also urged party members to be peaceful during and after the elections.
The country holds harmonised elections later this year.
Zanu-PF’s presidential candidate is President Mnangagwa.
