Voting opens for GoodNews for Life Global Awards in UK

Voting has officially opened for the inaugural GoodNews For Life Global Awards, a prestigious event set to honour 100 outstanding leaders from Zimbabwe and across the globe for their contributions to business, healthcare, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and community development.

The public voting process began on June 1 and will run until the end of the month ahead of the awards ceremony scheduled for August 22 in London, England.

The awards seek to recognise exceptional individuals and organisations that are driving positive change through leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and community service. Categories span a broad range of sectors, including business, healthcare, fashion, events management, philanthropy and industrial development.

Awards founder and organiser Shine Ndebele said the initiative was created to celebrate individuals whose contributions often go unnoticed despite the significant impact they make in society.
“The awards recognise excellence and impactful contributions by leaders and entrepreneurs who promote community transformation and innovation. Too often we see the good work of some outstanding leaders go unnoticed, so this is a platform that shines the spotlight on those individuals and organisations that inspire us to make the world a better place to live in and prosper,” said Ndebele.

She said the GoodNews For Life Global Awards will celebrate 100 influential leaders from various sectors both in Zimbabwe and abroad.
“Through my experience in business, healthcare, leadership and community empowerment, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with people doing incredible work across different sectors and from different countries.
“I then decided to create a platform that brings those stories of hope, achievement and community impact together through an awards ceremony that celebrates excellence,” she said.

Ndebele revealed that the nomination phase, which was open to members of the public, was successfully completed last month, paving the way for the voting process now underway.

Beyond recognising achievement, she said the awards are designed to inspire future generations of leaders.
“The awards are also about leaving a lasting legacy that inspires the next generation of leaders to believe that their work matters and deserves recognition,” said Ndebele.
