VP Chiwenga  to attend Masvingo Diocese Roman Catholic Bishop installation

The Roman Catholic Church Masvingo Diocese has a new bishop who will be installed at Gokomere Mission tomorrow with Vice President Constantino Chiwenga expected to attend the ceremony tomorrow.

Right Reverend Bishop Raymond Mupandasekwa will be installed as the second bishop of the Catholic Church’s Masvingo Diocese at a ceremony expected to be witnessed by thousands of the church’s faithful. Right Reverend Bishop Mupandasekwa will be Masvingo Diocese’s second bishop after the inaugural bishop Right Reverend Bishop Michael Bhasera who resigned from his post last year. The diocese has been without a bishop since then.

Very Reverend Father Samson Mutsvangwa, who is the diocese’s vicar general confirmed Vice President Chiwenga’s attendance at the installation ceremony tomorrow.

”The Vice President (Dr Chiwenga) has confirmed his attendance and we will witness the installation of Masvingo Diocese’s second bishop Right Reverend Bishop Mupandasekwa. The installation ceremony will take place at Gokomere Mission at 9.30am,” said Father Mutsvangwa.
