VICE PRESIDENT Dr Constantino Chiwenga has urged spiritual leaders to take an active role in promoting moral values.
Speaking during the ordination of 13 Roman Catholic priests in Harare today, VP Chiwenga highlighted the influence church leaders hold in society.
“In your ministry, your voice will now carry great influence,” he said.

“Use it to shape the moral and ethical standards in our communities.
“In an era marked by social dislocation and moral ambiguity, your example can foster values such as integrity, justice and compassion.”
Citing the Gospel of Matthew, the Vice President reminded the newly ordained priests of their spiritual responsibility and the potential impact of their leadership.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden,” he said.
