More than two hundred orphans and less privileged children in Kwekwe benefited from Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s back to school donation of stationery worth thousands of dollars.
The donation was received last Sunday through the Fellowship House Ministries.
The Fellowship House Ministries has been doing philanthropic work in Kwekwe where it has been helping orphans and the elderly.
Kwekwe mayor councillor, Matenda Madzoke who was the guest of honour at the event applauded Fellowship House Ministries for the good work.
“I would like to thank Vice President Mnangagwa for this noble gesture and for always remembering the needy amongst us,” he said.
“It’s also heartening when the leadership of the country humbles itself before God, for God is the one who gives us wisdom and guidance.
“I also want to thank Prophet Maxwell Makumbe and his Fellowship House Ministries for complementing us in providing for our people here in Kwekwe.
“It shows something when the leadership of the country chooses to donate through your church, it is because of the work you are doing.”
During the festive season, the Fellowship House Ministries donated groceries worth $10 000 to the elderly and orphans in Kwekwe.
