VPCG in the clear

VISUAL Point Creative Group (VPCG), one of the most visible advertising agencies in Zimbabwe, was mistakenly classified as blacklisted by the Advertising Media Association.

VPCG was bundled along with other banned advertising agencies through an advertisement in last issue of The Sunday Mail.

Both Zimpapers, publishers of The Sunday Mail, and Adma have since written to VPCG apologising for the error and the inconvenience caused to the advertising company.

VPCG chief executive Mr Reg Makuchete welcomed the correction.

“The blacklisting was a major concern to us. We have more than a decade in business and we have never been blacklisted before,” said Mr Makuchete. However, Zimpapers and Adma have written to us apologising for the mishap and we hail the move by the two parties.”

Agencies still on the Adma blacklist are FCB Zimbabwe and FernJoy Investments, which have failed to settle debts with media houses.
