VYBZ KARTEL now stands a better chance of securing bail after being freed of one of two murder charges, according to his legal team.
The former Portmore Empire head was found not guilty for the murder of St Catherine businessman Barrington “Bossie” Burton in the home circuit court last week.
The prosecution offered no evidence and their two main witnesses could not be located to give testimony. The judge subsequently ordered the jury to return a not guilty verdict.

Sources close to the deejay, told Urban Islandz that his legal team will be pushing for bail ahead of his November trial for his second murder charge.
“They don’t have any evidence against Addi to hold him because its all fabricated,” the source said. “They claim to have all sort of evidence when they really don’t. So now that only one charge remain we believe he can get bail.”

The source told us that Vybz Kartel’s lawyers will be filing an application for bail in August.
Vybz Kartel released a statement last weekend thanking his legal team Finson and Associates for their services in getting him freed.
However, Vybz Kartek did not have kind words for his former proteges Popcaan and Tommy Lee.

According to the self-proclaimed Worl’Boss, both artistes should cease and desist from saying their Gaza when “they’re not even near to my recently acquired PLAZA”.
Tommy Lee says he is puzzled why Vybz Kartel would make such statement.
