ISHMAEL Wadi has described his latest hat-trick as special.
Wadi scored a hat-trick, inside the first 20 minutes of JDR Stars’ 6-0 victory over Magesi, in the South African National First Division, last Tuesday.
Wadi opened the scoring in the 10th minute, two minutes after countryman Temptation Chiwunga had failed to convert from the spot.
The forward was the quickest to react.
He scored his second goal in the 22nd minute before completing his hat-trick a minute later.
He was pulled out in the 73rd minute.
“I can’t explain the feeling, but it was special and credit goes to my technical staff and my teammates.
“It was my first hat-trick.
“I was so happy scoring a hat-trick, especially since it was my first time.
“It’s something that doesn’t happen often, especially in this field and I was so excited about that,” he said.
Wadi says he still has to work hard.
“No expectations but l have to work extra hard and make sure that l score more goals before the World Cup break.
“My target is to score more goals and help my team to get promoted.”
The hat-trick were his first goals this season after the team’s slow start.
Wadi only remained at the NFD club after his move to PSL side AmaZulu fell through on the last day of the transfer window.
