Waison clinches NetONe Albun Honde Valley Marathon gold

LOCAL athlete Blessing Waison came first in the NetONe Albun Honde Valley Marathon 42km full marathon male category held at the Eastern Highlands today.

He crossed the finish line in two hours, 19 minutes to walk away with US$1 500 cash prize and a shield.

In the females category Phillipa Dube finished first and also pocketed prize money and a shield.

Winners in the 21km half marathon as well as the 10km and 5km races were also rewarded for their efforts.

Scores of professional and amateur runners participated in the race.
