THE Wakambi Co-Learning Centre (WCS), a dynamic new intellectual hub based at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds, is actively seeking established poets and authors from Bulawayo and beyond to join its ambitious 2026 creative roster.
This call marks a significant expansion of WCS’s vision to fuse industrial, STEAMEE (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship, Environment), and popular culture learning within a uniquely challenging and engaging environment.
In a statement, WCS outlined its search for literary collaborators possessing “traceable publications and online links.”
The centre is specifically looking for writers willing to actively partner and collaborate within its innovative framework, centred at the Wakambi Co-Learning Centre.
Describing itself as an “intellectually centred Industrial and STEAMEE learning space, grounded in unconventional pedagogy,” WCS boasts a contemporary library and a design ethos focused on hosting a rigorous activity roster that fosters creativity and innovation.
The centre emphasises that its events are intentionally mentally challenging, and drawn out for mastery, while remaining fun, informative, and educational.
This core philosophy extends to its existing Makerspace and Robotics Club, which cultivates a culture of experimentation, making, and problem-solving.
