Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV; “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
Have you ever had to give up something that really matters to you? As you process the decision to do it, the feelings can be quite overwhelming. You are wrenched, your gut turns and twists and you have incessant headaches as you fight an inner battle with yourself, the decision never comes easy.
I guess we have all gone through this at some stage, the prospect of letting go. As you read this you could be pondering about leaving a relationship, a job or even a prized possession.
Those who have gone through this know that letting go and moving on is one of the most difficult things one can ever do. Somehow your heart will be telling you to hold on, while your spirit will be slowly nudging you that it’s time to let go.
Have you ever lost your household possessions over a debt, ended a marriage, changed jobs or even moved countries for better prospects? For those who have, you know how difficult it is to cross the line between imagining it and actually doing it.
Once you actually take the first step to letting go, it becomes easier, you open yourself to new opportunities that you were holding yourself back from. One never knows what awaits them in the future unless they try.
If you look closely at your life today and the things you have accomplished, you will realise that most of your achievements came about because you made the decision to take the leap.
One thing is certain, as long as you are alive each day brings a new set of possibilities that are there for the taking, if you can just step out in faith and believe that the Lord above has plans to prosper you and not harm you.
Today, let go of all the things you have been holding on to, allow God’s will to prevail in your life and watch Him help you paint a masterpiece , remember He created you. Who knows better than the creator, the author and the finisher, what is best for you.
Step out in faith, He will surprise you as you write the next chapter in your life.
Be blessed.
