Joshua 1:9; “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
A year to this day, I started writing my reflections on the things that make up our daily life. Over the year, I have touched on all sorts of topics, some of which relate to the things we all face in our day to day lives, the walls we need to scale, the victories we need to take charge of and more importantly how God’s divine hand is at play in everything.
The experience of writing what I see and feel stemmed from how I had seen the mighty hand of the Lord rescue me from calamity. This caused me to think a little more on the things I had always taken for granted and it allowed me to see that God is everywhere, even in the smallest of things that appear insignificant.
Sharing faith is probably one of the most difficult things to do, given that we are all at different stages of development. Some are happy, some are sad, and some have hope while others have given up. What you share might not always be relevant to the reality of the audience in its entirety.
However, of interest to me has been to observe people study, at play and just generally living their lives. Our natural default setting is to run away from the difficult things, it’s simpler to run with the mundane than face the goliaths that are the difference between mediocrity and greatness.
Be as it may, in each of us lies the ability to do amazing things, to do the impossible, to scale heights that everyone considers impossible. Our ability to succeed is dependent upon us trusting God in the things we do not see, developing a heart like David and having courage.
Courage is one of those defining traits that determines how we face the obstacles of life. God has given us the platform to excel, we often blame Him for everything that goes wrong, but seldom take the time to reflect on what our role is in the failures of our life.
The truth is you will never know until you try, starting out on a journey is probably one of the hardest things to do, but it’s that first step that makes the difference as to whether you will transcend the present or not.
Be blessed.
