SCOTTLAND skipper Walter Musona feels that this campaign is his best since making his Castle Lager Premiership debut a dozen years ago.
Walter led from the front like a real captain when Simba Bhora won the championship last season.
Tonderai Ndiraya, the man who was in charge of Simba Bhora’s success last season, also entrusted Walter with the captain’s armband when they joined Scottland earlier this season.
Walter is now on course to win a second consecutive championship with different teams, should Scottland maintain their lead.
The Mabvuku side are now six points ahead of closest rivals Simba Bhora, who have registered just one win in their last six fixtures.
This will be Waler’s third championship in the last four seasons.
Walter has scored three times and provided 10 assists.
The former FC Platinum forward insisted that playing alongside his brother, Knowledge, has been the difference from his previous campaigns.
Walter provided the chance for Knowledge when they beat their hometown club MWOS 1-0 in a decisive match at Rufaro on Saturday.
“This season will definitely go down as my best season because, growing up, it was always my wish to play alongside Knowledge. And it is something that I felt was never going to happen, but God made it possible this season,” said Walter.
“It’s a dream come true for us and our mother has been telling us what this means to her, seeing us playing for the same team.
“Winning the championship with Knowledge will be a bonus for me and it is something that we are keen to achieve, not only as brothers, but as a team.”
The Musona brothers also had the chance to play together for the Warriors for the first time this year, and it is something that has left a lasting impression on Walter.
“Playing with Knowledge has helped me to improve my game because he is the one who inspired me to play professional football.
“He is always there, telling me to play with purpose, so there’s no time to relax when he is around,” he said.
