TOURISTS entering Zimbabwe through Forbes Border Post were recently welcomed with warmth and signature Zimbabwean hospitality as the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry rolled out its Meet and Greet programme at the border post for the first time in 2025.

The initiative, led by the Secretary for Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Dr Takaruza Munyanyiwa, is aimed at enhancing visitors’ first impressions of the country while improving the overall travel experience.

Officials on the ground provided essential travel guidance and shared information on Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage and diverse natural attractions.

The extension of the Meet and Greet programme to Forbes Border Post underscores the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening engagement with tourists at key entry points. By offering a friendly and informative welcome, the initiative seeks to position Zimbabwe as a destination of choice in the region.
