THE Zimbabwe Warriors have moved one place up the ladder on the latest FIFA/ Coca-Cola World Football Rankings and are now placed 123rd on the globe. At the last release in March, Zimbabwe were 124th in the world and 38th in Africa, and they have made an insignificant move of just one place up the ladder and are tied on the same position with Burundi.
Zimbabwe remained unchanged on the CAF rankings with 237 points accumulated during the period under review.
Guinea, who are the top seeds in the 2017 African Cup of Nations Group L qualifiers which also includes Zimbabwe, are ranked seventh in Africa and 41st in the world.
Malawi and Swaziland are in the same pool. The West Africans have 678 points while Malawi are 27th in Africa and 97th in the world with minnows Swaziland coming in at 45th in Africa and 175th in the world.
Algeria remain the highest ranked African team and are 21st in the world while continental champions Cote d’Ivoire are the second best team.
