Warriors striker Dube signs for Hardrock

HARDROCK FC have landed Zimbabwe international striker Prince Dube.

The former Young Warriors captain arrived at Chahwanda Stadium on Thursday afternoon from Tanzania where he won the league title last weekend.

The marksman will add firepower upfront alongside Washington Navaya, filling the void left by Zambian forward Andrew Phiri who left the club in June.

Dube, 28, joins Hardrock after a title-winning spell in East Africa. He was part of the Simba SC squad that clinched the Tanzanian Premier League last weekend. The Bulawayo-born striker has extensive experience across the region.

His career includes stints with Highlanders FC in Zimbabwe, Azam FC in Tanzania, SuperSport United in South Africa’s PSL, and most recently Simba SC.

The Kasongo Boys are not done yet in the market.

They have signed Malawi rightback Mcdonald Rameck from Malawian top side Silver Strikers FC.

With those additions, Hardrock’s foreign and international contingent is growing. The club now has the Eswatini duo

Yeki Khumalo and Mavuso Dlamini and Malawian import Mcdonald Rameck, and two Zimbabwe internationals in Gerald Takwara and Dube.

Takwara, a centreback with experience in Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Mozambique, signed earlier this week to shore up the backline ahead of the PSL title chase and the blockbuster clash with Caps United.

Phiri’s exit in June left Hardrock light in attack. Dube’s arrival gives coach Kelvin Kaindu a proven goal-getter to lead the line, with Navaya’s hold-up play expected to create space for the new man.

Hardrock play host to Caps United at Chahwanda on Sunday.
