PROSPECTIVE home owners have been warned from engaging bogus land developers as they are swindling people of their hard earned money.

The call was made by Property developer Mr Jonathan Thompson yesterday who said a property is one of the greatest assets an individual could have and there is need to be vigilant in purchasing a residential stand or a house.

“We believe so much in real estate and it is something for a family legacy. Property brings so many positives to one’s life.

” One of the challenges in real estate are bogus agents, people that take your money and sell properties that the do not have rights to,”he said

“We want to eradicate that in our communities,” he said.

Cases of bogus land developers and co-operatives that short-change residents are on the increase in the country.
Unsuspecting home-seekers have lost thousands of dollars to bogus property developers.

Mr Thompson also told the Chronicle on Thursday that the construction of Kings City shopping complex, named Victoria’s Court will feature a commercial hub, which will deliver quality service delivery to residents in Bulawayo .

“We are now ready to start breaking ground and we have been waiting for developments at Kings City, which already feature hundreds of residential houses,’ he said.

The residential stands, ranging from low to medium density, are located within the Kings City estate along Gwanda Road, with some being gated communities.
