A FORMER Highlanders board member has thrown a fiery jab at Bosso, claiming the once-mighty club has lost its culture and identity.
Thomas Ngwenya, who served on the board during Highlanders’ glory days, says the club has become a shadow of its former self.
“The culture of the club has been lost,” fumed Ngwenya. “What I know is that you take care of the situation, guard the stadium all night before the match. If you are playing at home, you are the first to go onto the field, not the enemy!”
Ngwenya is upset that Barbourfields Stadium is no longer being guarded by club members the night before home games, a tradition he says was sacred.
“This was not just about security, it was about pride. Now the team lets the opponent walk in like kings while we act like visitors in our own house,” he said.
Fans are now questioning: is this the beginning of the end of Bosso’s legendary aura?
