The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Bulawayo, Judith Ncube, has arrived at Lobengula Hall in Bulawayo for the province’s commemorations of Culture Month.
The event follows the successful National launch by President Mnangagwa in Chiredzi on May 22.

The provincial celebrations will showcase performances from local groups such as Khaya Arts, Hwabaraty, Bambanani, Umthwakazi Kandaba, Woza Africa, and Umkhathi Theatre Works, among others. Featured performers also include Jikinya winners Rangemore Primary School and NASH traditional dance champions St Bernard’s High.

So far, Minister Ncube has toured various exhibitions showcasing the work of local crafts persons and government entities.

Running under the theme “Celebrating Indigenous Voices”, Culture Month aims to promote social cohesion through diverse art forms, including dance, food, traditional attire, visual and literary arts, music, film, television, and poetry. The initiative celebrates Zimbabwe’s rich cultural diversity while fostering unity across the nation. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
