BULAWAYO Chiefs will pay no attention to what has happened in the past when they square off against Caps United in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Luveve Stadium this afternoon.

Amakhosi Amahle have never secured three points against Makepekepe since their promotion into the PSL in 2018 and this afternoon presents them with a great chance of bringing to an end that winless streak.
The two teams have met four times, with Caps United victorious once while the other matches have ended in stalemates.
When the two sides last clashed, the match ended in a 3-3 draw in Bulawayo.

Thulani Sibanda, the Chiefs assistant coach is relishing the chance to bag maximum points against the Green Machine.
Sibanda is taking charge of the match against Caps United as head coach Nilton Terroso is attending a coaching course in the United Kingdom.
“We can say we haven’t beaten them before but there is always a first time for everything, maybe it’s going to be our first time on Sunday but we will not take that into our minds going into this game,’’ Sibanda said.

Despite Caps finding the going tough in the last few games, Sibanda is expecting them to be tough opponents this afternoon.
“Playing Caps is always a tough encounter, they are a seasoned team, they have got a seasoned coach, seasoned players so it’s a game that can go either way, we can’t relax and say just because in the last two, three games they haven’t been collecting points it’s going to be easy, it’s never going to be that way,’’ he said.
Chiefs head into today’s match without the services of Kelvin Madzongwe, Mthokozisi Msebe and Obriel Chirinda who are all injured.
After some struggles, Amakhosi Amahle have since made good recovery with 10 points picked from their last six matches in which they have not tasted defeat.
Caps United on the other hand have only collected just three points from their last six assignments while on the losing end five times.
