IN a show of continued cooperation between the nations, drought has received 1 760 metric tonnes of rice from the Chinese government, led by the Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Zhou Ding.

The food aid is intended to support vulnerable members of Zimbabwean society who have been impacted by the El Niño-induced drought affecting parts of Southern Africa. This generous donation from the Chinese government is a testament tor the strong partnership between our two nations,” said President Mnangagwa. “This food aid will make a significant difference in the lives of our most vulnerable citizens who have been hit hard by the drought.”

Ambassador Zhou Ding expressed China’s commitment to supporting Zimbabwe during this challenging time, stating, “We stand with the people of Zimbabwe and are honored to provide this assistance to help alleviate the impact of the drought on the most affected communities.”
