Zvishavane turned all the way up this past weekend as local ladies painted the town bright and bold at the inaugural Doek and Shine event, their own sizzling spin-off of the popular Doek and Slay party movement.
Tired of having to travel to Bulawayo or Gweru for the fun, these trailblazing women said, “Why not bring the vibe home?” And bring it, they did! Judging by the viral TikTok clips on Cc Nigga’s page, Zvishavane’s ladies-only event at Mtonjeni Gardens was nothing short of fabulous.
Decked out in colourful vintage-themed outfits and radiating boss energy, the women showed up in their numbers and danced the day away, proving that girl power is alive and well in the mining town.
“This was long overdue!” declared one excited reveller.
“Next time, expect an even bigger crowd. Zvishavane women have been waiting for this moment!”
And to the folks who missed it? The message was loud and clear: “You seriously missed out!”
Typical of such gatherings, Doek and Shine turned into more than just a party. Many women said it was a perfect networking platform.
“There were ladies we hadn’t seen in ages. So it wasn’t just about dancing, we reconnected, caught up, and even discussed business and other important issues,” another attendee shared.
Now that the fire has been lit, the women are calling for even more glitz at the next edition and want chart-topping stars like ExQ to headline. If the organisers deliver, Doek and Shine might just become the hottest ticket in the Midlands.
Zvishavane has spoken, the queens want their party, and they want it bigger!
