BULAWAYO was on fire Saturday evening as Dr Gasolo wrapped up his gruelling walkathon with a thunderous welcome at Amakhosi Theatre.

The beloved creative, who kicked off his journey at Matshetsheni village in Gwanda District on Thursday, finally set foot in Bulawayo at 5.35PM, where he was met with song, dance, and ululations.

Amabutho and Amatshitshi lined the roadside near the “Welcome to Bulawayo” sign along the Beitbridge highway, showering him with a hero’s salute before escorting him into the city.

The symbolic march was part of Dr Gasolo’s ongoing campaign to push for stronger support for local creatives, urging both individuals and corporates to step up.

The celebrations don’t end there — tonight, the spotlight shifts to rising stars Babygal 1tym, Mukazi The Love Poet, Mzali Wama 2K, and Queen Nozy, who will light up a special gig hosted by MaDewa in his honour.
