IT’S all over at Luveve Stadium and Chicken Inn have secured a 2-0 win over Kwekwe United, leaving the newboys officially relegated from the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Brian Muza opened the scoring in the first half before Lynoth Chikuhwa added a second in the latter stages, sealing three crucial points for the Gamecocks and taking them to 33 points. Kwekwe United remain stuck on 10 points with just six games left in the season, confirming their drop to a lower division.
Kwekwe United coach did not hold back after the defeat. Speaking emotionally, he criticised the referees for what he described as “decisions that cost us dearly,” expressing his frustration over how the match was officiated.
Chicken Inn fans celebrated a dominant display, while the relegated Kwekwe United now face a bitter end to their debut top-flight campaign.
The Gamecocks will look to maintain momentum as the league enters its final stretch, while Kwekwe United must start planning for life in the lower division.
