GIFFORD High School will bounce back as a formidable force in sport.

The school based in the outskirts of the Bulawayo Central Business, was once a powerhouse in sport, dominant in several sporting disciplines.

In an interview on Thursday afternoon, the headmistress, Bongai Dewa, said the school is now working on repairing sports facilities. She noted that the school had a good sporting history, which they are now reviving with basketball and volleyball courts having been attended to.

Yesterday, she took Zimpapers Sports Hub to the sports pavilion, where three cricket practice nets have just been installed.
“I am here standing in our cricket field, which we have just repaired and revived. Our idea is to revive all sporting disciplines which were now lying dormant,” said Dewa.
