HIGHLANDERS striker Benjamin Adeogun dedicated his match-winning goal against defending champions Scottland to teammate Andrew Mbeba’s newborn son, while expressing confidence that more goals and victories are on the way for Bosso.

The Nigerian forward scored the decisive goal as Highlanders claimed a memorable 1-0 victory over Scottland at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday, handing the champions a rare defeat and delighting the Black and White faithful.
Speaking after the match the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, Adeogun thanked the Highlanders supporters for their unwavering backing throughout the season.
“I will give thanks to the fans for the support. They are really great,” said Adeogun .

The striker revealed that the goal held special significance as he dedicated it to defender Andrew Mbeba, who recently welcomed a baby boy.
“I dedicate the goal to Andrew for his newborn baby. I give Andrew Mbeba congratulations on his newborn baby, his son,” he said.
Adeogun also attributed his performance to faith and persistence after finding the back of the net.
“I feel good and I give thanks to God. I already said it, once I keep pushing I know the goals will come.”
Highlanders’ victory over Scottland has strengthened belief within the Bosso camp as Benjani Mwaruwari’s side continues its push up the Premier Soccer League table, buoyed by growing confidence and the unwavering support of the club’s passionate supporters.
