WATCH: Journalists convene in Bulawayo to finalise standard operating procedures for Gukurahundi Hearings

JOURNALISTS from various media houses in the country are gathered at a Bulawayo hotel to fine-tune the standard operating procedures during the Gukurahundi hearings that are set to take off anytime soon.

During the proceedings, the Fourth Estate practitioners will touch on issues bordering on conduct during coverage.

They will also be expected to sign a pledge of consent in which they will be agreeing to unreservedly abide by the set code of conduct.

The standard operating procedures were set by a selected committee of practicing and senior scribes.

The Committee is made up of Nduduzo Tshuma (The Chronicle), Victoria Ruzvidzo (Sunday Mail), Zenzele Ndebele (Cite), Annastaciah Ndlovu (Voice of America), Albert Chekai (ZBC), Chris Chinaka (ZimFact) and Monica Cheru (ZimNow).
