South African actress Khanyi Mbau has stirred up social media by sharing a video of her face following cosmetic surgery.
Mbau, who had grown weary of using Botox and fillers, opted for surgery to achieve a more permanent, structured, and tight look for her face.
On her Instagram account, Khanyi Mbau revealed that she underwent a blepharoplasty to remove excess skin from her eyelids and a subnasal lip lift to enhance the shape of her lips.
In a video captioned just after her procedure, Mbau described her face as feeling like it was “wrapped in cling wrap.” Despite the initial discomfort, she expressed excitement and optimism about the final outcome.
Sharing more details on her verified Instagram account, Mbau reassured her followers that she was doing well post-surgery.
“So I am literally a few hours out of surgery. I think it’s been about four hours since surgery. I’ve only started getting my life back. As you can see I’m super swollen. I’m okay,” Mbau updated her followers.
The video was also shared by the celebrity gossip and entertainment blog Maphephandaba on its official Instagram account, prompting a wide array of reactions.
