WATCH: Matojeni Melo-Maniacs on European tour

 Afro-Fusion outfit – Matojeni Melo-Maniacs (MMM) are currently touring Europe for the second time since the group’s creation as they are staging a number of shows in Austria and surrounding countries.

 The group kick started the tour on June 28 in Graz in Austria. On 30 June, they performed in St Wolfgang, another Austrian town. On July 5, they will perform in Vienna, where they will share the stage with the renowned Imbube outfit Insingizi which comprise Vusa Mkhaya, Blessings Nqo and Dumisani “Ramadu” Moyo. As a major highlight on their tour, the group will be part of the artistes who will perform at this year’s Kasumama Festival.

 Apart from Austria, they will make stops in Switzerland and Italy.  MMM is a cultural group that consists of veteran artistes – Nomathamsanqa “Nkwali” Mkhwananzi, Thandeka Patricia “Thandy Dhlana” Jele, Nolizwe Ngwenya, Mthabisi Moyo and Bekezela “Sjure” Sibanda.

The group was created last year and they made their maiden European tour as they featured at the 2023 edition of Roots Music from Southern Africa, a festival which saw them sharing the stage with Tsaradia (Madagascar) and Die Chornissen (Austria).

 They also shared the stage with fellow Zimbabweans Nobuntu, Jeys Marabini, Blessings Chimanga, Tshwalabenyoni,Virginia, Mukwesha,Black Moses Ngwenya (Soul Brothers), Blessings Nqo and Band ,Nkwali, Mokoomba and Vusa Mkhaya.

 The group boasts of an Extend Play (EP) titled Rhythms of the Matebele which consists of songs Pembela, Africa, Emeli lo-Dlala Regina, Inkomo Zamalobolo, and an extended version of Emeli Lo
