THE Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Felix Mhona, is leading a high-level media tour of the ongoing road rehabilitation project along the Bulawayo-Kezi-Maphisa-Gwanda Road.

Minister Mhona is accompanied by senior officials from his Ministry, the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA), and members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Transport and Infrastructural Development.

The delegation is inspecting progress on the major road, which is set to get a new lease on life.
Speaking at the commencement of the tour, Minister Mhona described the exercise as an exhibition of the Second Republic’s works.
He clarified that the rehabilitation of roads in Matabeleland South is not solely pegged to the upcoming 44th Independence Day celebrations scheduled for next month in Maphisa.

“This development is part of Government’s broader infrastructure development drive in line with the philosophy of leaving no one and no place behind, even post-independence,” said Minister Mhona.
