WATCH: Multitudes of Illegal gold miners invade Rhodes Estate

Multitudes of illegal gold miners have invaded the largest pedigree cattle farm in the country, the Rhodes Estate in Matabeleland South Province.

The illegal panners continue to dig hundreds of pits on the farm in search of gold, leaving deep trenches into which cattle have been falling and dying.

On Wednesday, the Matabeleland South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Dr Evelyn Ndlovu, toured the farm to gain a first-hand understanding of the damage caused by illegal mining activities.

In the video below, illegal miners hoist a fellow miner from a deep pit where they were digging for the precious mineral.
