NKAYI District in Matabeleland North province is exhibiting a range of its priority investment opportunities and products at the ongoing 2026 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo where it seeks to lure potential investors to unlock higher economic potential and increase contribution to national development.

With a well-established livestock industry supporting value chain development, abundant natural resources, available land for diverse infrastructure development, growing market demand and strategic rural growth potential, Nkayi District presents valuable investment opportunities with higher impact for Matabeleland North province and the country at large.

Representing the district’s investment desk under the Matabeleland North Pavilion, Mrs Langelihle Maipisi, urged investors to tap into existing low-hanging opportunities in Nkayi. She highlighted some of the priority investment opportunities such as timber processing, meat processing, kaolin processing for ceramics and tiles, solar energy and irrigation development.

The Government is already pushing the construction of Ziminya Dam in Nkayi, which should anchor robust irrigation development when complete.

There are also opportunities for residential, commercial, industrial and institutional stands development including establishment of private schools, technical and vocational training, said Mrs Maipisi.
