Watch: President Mnangagwa returns from African Union Summit in Ethiopia

Southern African Development Community (SADC) chairperson, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has returned home from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he joined other African leaders for the 38th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit.

This year’s summit was held under the theme, “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent through Reparations.”

On the sidelines of the summit, President Mnangagwa formally introduced SADC and COMESA’s candidate for the African Development Bank (AfDB) presidency, Dr. Samuel Maimbo, a Zambian national.

The President also engaged in several bilateral meetings with other African heads of state during the summit.

Upon his return, President Mnangagwa was welcomed by Vice Presidents Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, service chiefs, and senior government officials.
